I can't access my account: "could not update ICE authority file /home/gsk/.ICE authority" error

Asked by GSK

something went wrong with my account; my account is an administrator, when I chose to gain access to it, a message says that the computer could not load the power manager and then my desktop appears completely empty; only the background is shown. I have tried to access my files from another administrator account but a message says "you do not have the necessary authority"I need to back up a file on the desktop but i couldn't reach to it by any means. Please help me or I will lose important files on my crashed desktop.

I have just tried it but probably my ubuntu version does not have it. I use 10.04 and when i click the user name I can chose between "faisafe GNOME", "GNOME" or "xterm" but these choice do not appear when I click my faulty user

just to be more accurate about describing what happens when I try to log in,
fist amessage says: "could not update ICE authority file /home/gsk/.ICE authority"

then I click OK

then 2nd message says: "there is a problem with the configuration server. (/user/lib/libgconf 2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2exited with status 256)"

then I close the message and a 3rd one says: "Nautilus could not create the following required folders: /home/gsk/Desktop, /home/gsk/.nautilus
Before running nautilus, please create these folders, or set permissions such that Nautilus can create them"

I don't have any problem logging to other accounts but i cant access the files in the faulty account from the good ones
