What's missing in New distros!

This is a question/suggestion. As most of us find out sooner or later with each new distro of Ubuntu...something we liked
in the older version is now either gone, will not work or is just too confusing to get up and running...Examples, Picasa, Open Office, guvc, messaging etc.
In addition to long emails and such telling us what is new with every distro...Can you please also tell us what is not supported anymore...?
