Asked by raymond house

Hi all, I'm using ubuntu 12.04 and Unity, I have no startup sound but sound is ok on videos etc.. Speaker tests are ok as well. I had this same problem with 11.10 it worked ok for about a week after install and then vanished. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

add a startup item:

Name: GNOME Login Sound
Command: /usr/bin/canberra-gtk-play --id="desktop-login" --description="GNOME Login"
Comment: Plays a sound whenever you log in

That's all it is
