How to remove Recent Documents Entries in Ubuntu 11.10

Asked by Rajinder Sandhu

Recently installed ubuntu 11.10 64Bit on my system, there is no provision to remove or clear the recent documents entries/ history in the OS.
Like earlier it was in the places last most tab was view recent documents and clear recent documents.. can anybody give the clue where these functions are gone and how it can be enabled.
Thanks
Rajinder

Altough ALM addresses 'events' and those are deleted or not allowed the 'recently-used' are still displayed for example in gedit or totem.
