would like to know how to clean up &defrag please

Just like to know how to defrag & do a disc cleanup as my computer is running very slow , dont seem able to find what I have to do to do this either . Please can you help me many thanks

If you use Ext3 or Ext4 or btrfs, you don't need to defrag. Linux filesystems don't fragment. There is a journal which make the data on the disk be managed properly. Windows justslings the data into the next available space it sees and data gets fragmented.

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; echo; free -m; df -h

install ubuntu tweak, it has all the cleanup tools you need.
