ubuntu 11.10 boot time problem

Hi everybody,
    I am using ubuntu 11.10. I have recently found out that it taking much time to boot.
    Before this i was using ubuntu 10.04 LTS. The boot time in comparision to 10.04 , 11.10 is much higher.
    It is taking 32.29 seconds to boot. I have noted it down from my stop watch. Please help me.

 I have installed bootchart to check the activities.
 But I unable to attach the picture. Please let me know if there is any way to attach it at this forum.

There's a lot more overhead with Unity and you might be seeing that impacting on your 'boot times' if you have it set to autologin.

I think the development of 11.10 was mostly focussed on getting Unity out as a more mature product. It's certainly not my favourite release because of the performance. The good news is that I can tell you that the development branch (12.04) is already performing better than 11.10 with faster boot times, and thankfully much faster getting into software centre and automatic updates.

I expect the stable release of 12.04 at the end of next month will be that much faster again. You might want to have a look at that when it comes out and either upgrade, or do a new installation then.
