I Can't install Gnome-core

Friends:
I Installed the Ubuntu Server but i Cant't install the Graphic environment Gnome-core.
When i Try to install receive the message: ( E: unable to locate package Gnome-core.

I Download the server Version from the Ubuntu Web Site and generate the Iso Image for Install.

Why don't you just reinstall with Ubuntu Desktop.... What do you think you will gainn by installing gnome on a server...?

I want Manage the server by a graphic interface, but can't install desktop software and receive the same error message ( E:unable to locate package Desktop )

I suggest you run:

sudo apt-get install lxde lightdm

And you will get a light desktop OS. In future you can save yourself a LOT of hassle by installing the desktop OS as that is what you want.

What do you want to manage by graphic interface ?
