Cannot get trash to empty even with commands

Have tried every suggestion in the answers! Keeps giving Error removing file: Read Only file system! Can this be fixed?

Open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T).
Type: 'cd ~/.local/share/Trash'.
Once in the 'Trash' directory, you can change/remove whatever you want using the command line.
