Why does the 11.10 suck compared to 11.04?

Asked by Dale Newby

I would like to know why the 11.10 version is not only more glitchy but it also doesn't allow my Crystal Eye web-cam to work. I didn't have to install anything but the OS with 11.04 for everything to work properly. I also had more options for themes. What is the problem? It's frustrating!!! I have a number of features on my Acer Extensa laptop, that doesn't work with Ubuntu 11.10 that worked fully well with Ubuntu 11.04 and Mandriva. I don't know how to do the codes and all of that as I am a novice, but honestly, if people want Linux to be more people's choice, then why doesn't someone design it to where those of us who don't care about being able customize configurations can get more out of it. I love Linux for many reasons, but I dumped Mandriva because the Firefox version upgrade was a nightmare, and Firefox only knew how to support Ubuntu. Now, I have similar problems with this "upgrade" to 11.10 and it is ANNOYING!!!

Its called a regression bug. Oneiric is still young so this will happen. I suggest you calm down and report the bugs you have.

Can you help with this problem?
