Old bug reports

Asked by Carl Ansell

There are many old reports in launchpad that apply to unsupported versions of Ubuntu, such as Dapper or Edgy. As these are no longer supported, can these bugs now be marked as invalid?

I see the point, I've not manipulated bugs like this personally.

I was thinking it would clear up the huge amount of bugs reported in Ubuntu and make it easier to find bugs that are relevant.

As I'm fairly new to bug reporting, I don't just want to go around and mess with bugs without really knowing whether what I'm doing is ok.

Maybe ask BugSquad team at #ubuntu-bugs about the procedure.

As I'm a member of the bugsquad team, I don't know why I didn't think of that :)
