could some one tell me how to do a system restore so i can restore it for about a week ago thanks

There is no "System Restore" feature on linux.

you can always make a request on brainstorm.ubuntu.com

if there are enough requests, the developers might "consider" implementing it. i say consider, because it's not a sure bet anything will get implemented.

As for whatever problem motivates you to ask about system restore now...if you start a new question, and post the details of the problem you are experiencing, people might be able to help you fix it (thus repairing, rather than restoring, your system).
