can not create subfolder when log in.

hi expert,

i am a newbie in linux. i have problem after log in, the syntax say, nautilus can not create a folder. after log in, there are only background screen of ubuntu, without folders or anything else on it. i assume this is caused of partition error.

how to correct this problem?

Sounds like permission issue to me.
Please open a terminal (applications -> accessories) and type:
stat .dmrc
stat .ICEauthority

Post the output. (Highlight output and paste it here with middle mouse click)
