Emerald Theme Manager...Closes when I click on a theme yet theme does not install

Currently I am utilizing Ubuntu 10.10(AMD64) and I installed emerald theme manager. I imported a glassy theme. Currently when I click on the theme to select it the window closes and the theme does not install. The theme did import yet currently does not install when I select it. I reinstalled the Emerald theme manager and it didn't help. What do you recommend?

Daire,

I have no idea how to solve your issue, but wanted to share with you some info about Emerald. This is the !emerald factoid from #ubuntu IRC channel:

!emerald
emerald is an obsolete window decorator for compiz. It's unsupported and unmaintained, making issues with it very hard to diagnose and fix. There are no known, supported alternatives.

Emerald theme manager functioned as I needed it to with the 32bit Ubuntu 9.04LTS distro however it does not function as I need it to with the Ubunto 10.10 amd64 distro. With Emerald theme manager the glassy window effect is functioning in the 32bit distro I'm utilizing on the other partition. On this partition I am utilizing the Ubuntu 10.10 (amd64) distro.

Solved!!! What I did: I did a fresh install and didn't install the theme I previously installed...rather I downloaded compiz fusion icons and selected emerald theme manager...then created a theme.
