Installation won't work because Keyboard wont work

Is this a desktop or laptop?
Does the CD pass verification?
Have you tried some bootoptions? (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootOptions)

My pc is a desktop and the Ubuntu cd I downloaded passed the verification as far as i know it said there were no problems
