When I try to print, I receive error printer may not be connected. I have it connected to Linksys 610N Router. Editing the printer appears OK because of the DNS numbers for the router are after the printer. Being new to LINUX and seriously wanted to be totally independent of windows, I have become frustrated with this type of issue. I have not clue using Terminal, e.g., SUDO, apt-get and installing a tar.gz package. I have two Ubuntu books, but they give me no clue. I would appreciate your support in these matters.

Hi Randy, we're sorry that you are having problems setting up your printer. The best place to get support is on the Ubuntu Forums - http://ubuntuforums.org
Alternatively you can file a question on answers.launchpad.net, but please don't file bug reports for support requests. I am not an expert with HPLIP, but you should be able to setup your printer from System->Administration->Printers. It may be best if you make a thread on the forums. You can also check your printer's support level here - http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/supported_devices/index.html
Good luck.

Can you help with this problem?
