What is process /username/c1 and why cannot shout down Ubuntu

What is process /username/c1 and why does it refuse to terminate and resultantly cannot shout down Ubuntu after being on the internet Facebook web page?

in the incomplete shut down process
I hit the ESC key and it brings up a terminal display showing this.
I am then FORCED by this not terminating, to have to do a Manual Over ride Emergency shut down of the computer, as it will not at this point respond to ANY further keyboard input.

Does the process actually say "username" or does it contain your users actual username, please?
