13.04 Crash issue

Asked by Satyendra Pandey

Hi, i've been satisfied with Ubuntu but recently upgraded to 13.04. Since upgradation system is acting slow. Most of the apps crash, terminal also crashed often. Even the OS crashed once. Please launch an upgrade soon. I liked the graphics and looks of 13.04 but function wise it is pathetic.

There are millions of users for whom Ubuntu does work well. So there is the chance that the problems that you see aren't caused by Ubuntu as such, but by some specifics of your system.

If you provide some details about the application crashes that you experience, we might be able to provide help to reconfigure your system that Ubuntu 13.04 does also work according your expectations.

And for your question about 'an upgrade soon': There is a schedule of new Ubuntu releases coming out in a 6 months' cycle, the next one (Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander) being due on October 17th, 2013.

Your output shows that there is a problem with your wireless lan device and its driver.

I recommend that you run the diagnostics as listed in steps 1 to 3 of https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WirelessTroubleshootingProcedure with the only deviation, that in step 3 for pasting all output you should not create a new question document, but should continue in this question document that you have already created.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Satyendra Pandey for more information if necessary.
