no root password

Ubuntu Breezy is asking for a username and a password running under Windows XP and VM. I am stumped.

During the install you should have setup an account. Typically Ubuntu disables the root user and gives the default user sudo access.

Got it! Root password is ubuntu by default until changed.

yeah the root pwd is default for every ubuntu installation , if you want to change it go to Administration-->Users and Groups and then searh root user and change its password or simply use sudo command.
