Unable to boot to Ubuntu using flash drive

Asked by Lauren

Hi so im new to Ubuntu and im having some trouble getting started, im using a RCA Cambio 11.6 Inch 2-in-1 Tablet 32GB Intel Quad Core Windows 10, and im trying to boot Ubuntu 14.04 LTS off my flash drive because my laptop does not have a CD drive and every time i try to do this i get an error saying

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem

1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer
2.Choose the language settings, and then click "Next"
3.Click "Repair your computer"

If you do not have this disc contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance

                  File: \ubuntu\winboot\wubildr.mbr
                  Status: 0xc000007b
Info: The application or operating system couldnt be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors

-----------------------------------------------------------------

the thing is after that message it says to click the windows button and upon doing that it loads me back into windows so im not locked out of windows it just wont load the Ubuntu screen to install Ubuntu, if anyone could help me out that'd be great Thanks!!

Wubi is dead. You need to boot from the USB stick, not run the application in Windows.

Only you, as the question poster, can mark the question as solved.

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?

How did you put the data on the USB storage?
