ubuntu installation on amd a8 7410 processor

can i install ubuntu 14.04 LTS on a laptop with amd a8 7410 processor and 4gb of ram. i heard that some people are not able to install ubuntu on their pc with amd a8 processor. plz answer as my buying decision depends upon it.

If you want an integrated GPU then Intel will work great.

I don't use AMD myself, maybe others can comment. I'd imagine the proprietary video driver will run it ok
