Install 14.04 in mulit boot XP, win7, ubuntu

Asked by George Buharin

PC with XP, installed ubuntu from live CD, then installed Win7. Ubuntu is corrupted upgrade fails. Want to clean install 14.04 by overwriting existing ubuntu installation. If 14.04 installation is successful, next step is to remove XP. But as XP was the initial OS may have a boot record problem. Need to keep Win 7 because of Chromebook and Android tablet WiFi connection to printer.

Having difficulty identifying Ubuntu partition in order to reformat just that partition. Have tried MN Win tool and down level version of Partition Magic. Ubuntu is too corrupted to use.
