bypass windows8 bootup

Asked by James

I recently bought a dell laptop with windows8.

I don't want windows8 it sucks. I did not realize they have this secure boot crap so you can't easily put a new Operating system in place.

I want to delete windows 8 completely and replace with ubuntu.

I have done research and the most I can find is you maybe able to change the boot order, such that you can boot from dvd, and use a disk.

However, once you delete windows 8 does that not delete the bootup?

Anyone done this and had success?

I don't want a partition dual boot, I want all ubuntu and no windows.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you only want Ubuntu you can disable secure boot

Can you help with this problem?
