I purchased and downloaded updated Ubuntu desktop, and now cannot locate the file on my computer, and wish to download again.

Asked by Robert Saunders

I purchased Ubuntu to upgrade my outdated version. I paid for it through paypal, transaction number 0FW97948S1946093J . Is it possible for my to attempt another download, and I'll try and note where it goes this time?

Ubuntu is free to download and use, there is no purchasing unless you buy applications like the humble bundles and so forth.

What do you mean about "Purchased" ? Purchased what ?

"Ubuntu is free. Always has been and always will be. From the operating system to security updates, storage to software...."
http://www.ubuntu.com/about/

Please tell us what you mean with "Purchased".

You can download Ubuntu Operating System as many times as you want
http://releases.ubuntu.com/

Pick a release, download, burn the .iso to a DVD or USB and install it, voila !

Be aware that Lucid Lynx (10.04) is server only edition. No desktop environment.

If you did purchase Ubuntu, you will need to contact the seller. A quick check on the internet, shows many places selling Ubuntu, even version 8.10 (very old). If you have very slow download speed, would be better to have a friend (with higher speed) to download it for you. Same if you have no internet.

Can you help with this problem?
