it wont start up says pipe is broke

When I tried to start it up it says pipe is broke how do I fix it?

Okay?

When I tried to upgrade to 10.10. To 11..04 I shut down like I was supposed to do then I opened it back. The screen flashes then 20 secs later pop ups broken pipe
