what is the Ubuntu installer's Partition Editor

I am trying to create a custom ubuntu distribution. I want to customize installer (I guess it it ubiquity). I want to customize the partitioning menu.I want to know is
1.what is the installer's Partition Editor
2. where is the default configuration

gparted is the partition editor. It will generate it's own config when executed

I found that partman is the installer's partition editor just now.

and I think I found the correct path to do what i need.
