Installation error squashfs

Asked by Ryno

I'm installing Ubuntu 12.1 on my Lenovo Ideapad. Received a very long page of squashfs errors. I am still able to login, however, and use Ubuntu. I plan to do a memory test tonight, but am wondering if this is something I can ignore considering I am able to use Ubuntu, or can I expect errors down the road? I also understand it may be a USB issue, but am confused as to why I am still able to login and use? Any input would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hi
this could be a problem with the CD or USb , seems to me like a faulty CD or USb-stick.
Sometimes Usb-sticks (or/and CDs) produce such errors.

See the picture below

If you bypassed this error and installation gone well , then is Ok.

If you cannot bypass the error then you should try with another USb-stick (or CD) .
When you use a CD ALWAYS burn it to the LOWEST speed. (sensitive data can corrupt in high speed burnings)

Thank you.

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?

Can you help with this problem?
