How can I uninstall UBUNTU from a system running only UBUNTU?

Asked by Tony Thomas

I have a laptop running UBUNTU. Now I want to install Windows Into it and delete ubuntu. But when running the installation setup of Windows, it is reported that "a required CD/DVD driver is missing". So I am unable to install Windows. While trying to copy the installation setup into my system and run it, my problem is that when the disc is inserted into the drive, CD ROM drive disappears from my "Computer".Please help me.

You cannot install Windows from within(inside) Ubuntu.
Ubuntu has a Windows installer (wubi.exe) to install Ubuntu from within(inside) Windows , but the opposite cannot be happen.

You can only burn a CD/DVD with an image of Windows (legal image) and then boot from this CD/DVD and install Windows over Ubuntu (Ubuntu will be completely removed).

Be sure that you burning the image to the slowest speed , because data is sensitive.

If your Windows CD/DVD is damaged and you don't have a legal copy (image) then I cannot suggest something else.

Thanks
