Acer aspireone 725 compatibility

I brought a new acer aspireone 725 and installed 12.10 64bit. There seems to be some hardware compatibility issues with the said laptop and ubuntu.
1.the touchpad is not working out of the box.
2. unable to install proprietary drivers for ati radeon graphics. it displays as unsupported hardware.
3. screen brightness option is not working. whatever we do the brightness of the screen remains full.
please suggest some solution .

Concerning the touchpad and screen brightness issues: create a separate (second) question for the touchpad issue and a THIRD question for the screen brightness issue using this link:
