Worried about installing side by side on Mac OS 10.8.2 Need Help

Asked by Sandev Varaich

Hi,

I've read up on installing Ubuntu on my MBA (mid 2011), but am worried about making a mistake. I have read the instructions on the Ubuntu site. I have already partitioned my HD with 14 GB allocated to Ubuntu.

The problem is when choosing the partition to install on, the instructions advise to make the mount point, "root/" but on the drop down menu, there is no such option.

I want to make sure my Mac OS is not disturbed and don't want to screw this up.

Any help is appreciated.
