What is the target difference between this site and AskUbuntu.com?

Asked by Dan Dascalescu

Aside from the technical differences (i.e. voting abilities and all that), what is the conceptual difference, pertaining to the scope and target audience, between answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu and Askbuntu.com?

Why would the community be split among the two sites?

And it's okay to post the same question on both.
