Hi, how can I correctly Install ubuntu 12.04 server in VMWare?

Hi,

               how can I correctly Install ubuntu 12.04 server in VMWare? After the black screen stuff now the CLI is white... anyone please help the newbie, i think it still needs some other thing to be installed please give me some walk through. thanks in advance!

Add the boot option:

nomodeset

Make sure you MD5 test the ISO you download and disable 3D accelleration. I recommend you install Xubuntu or Lubuntu for a more responsive OS.

About that, what would I actually do? where to add boot option and about MD5 testing the ISO and disables 3D acc.. can you please tell me how to do it...thanks
