Your question is not clear.

There is Edubuntu (note the right spelling) a special Ubuntu derivate for learning / children.
You will find instructions on how to install at http://www.edubuntu.org/documentation/12.04/installation-guide .

There is also Ubuntu (the main project).
You will find the download and installation instructions at http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop .

Create a DVD/USB stick from the links above and install.

I suspect this is not answer you are looking for however as "successfully" implies you have already tried and it didn't work.

If this is the case

What computer do you have? Either make and model or Processor(s), RAM and video card.

What goes wrong when you try to install: Are there problems making the install media or installing and what are they?

By 'Download' do you mean 'install'? There is a world of difference.
