ubuntu 12.10 on USB drive no persistent data

running 12.10 through USB drive with 12.04 the default OS.....wondering why when I customised Mozilla Firefox why Wasnt the customization there when I logged back in on USB drive OS

DId you assign some space for persistence when you transferred the ISO to the USB?

Then the changes only stay in RAM and are lost when you reboot, like a CD. If you assign the remaining space as persistance, the changes to settings and even updates can stick.

solved problem by installing usb os onto computer by replacing 12.04
