Creating boot disc
Hi,
I'm trying to install Ubuntu on a laptop (Dell Latitude E6400) that has no OS. I downloaded Ubuntu to my primary computer (Windows 7) and unzipped the file on an external hard drive. According to your instructions, I am supposed to right click the image file (iso) and select "burn to disc".
First off, I have no idea where the image is (there are no files with an .iso extension). There is an ISOLINUX folder, but nothing in there looks like anything I need. I tried burning all the files and folders to a CD. I doubted that would work, but I was out of ideas... Sure enough, it didn't.
If you could please specify which file is the image file that I need to burn to the disc to make it a boot disc (and where it's located) that would be great.
Thanks,
Ed
