The 10.10 CD images are here

http://releases.ubuntu.com/10.10/

However, 10.10 Maverick is No longer supported and han not been since April . I would recommend you go with 12.04. If you don't like the new desktop or you have an old machine consider either changing to Classic mode

sudo apt-get install gnome-panel

or Lubuntu or Kubuntu

warren has petty much covered everything... the only thing I have to add is that. ifits unity that your hating on... give it another shot... it's a whole different beas in 12.04 than 11.04 (its my preferred desktop now)

Also if you really really cant get used to it... Try Xubuntu... XFCE is very much like old gnome 2 that's in the standard 10.10 release

Maverick is EOL. There are no updates for it but the OS will run. Installing Xubuntu will give a more familiar desktop

Can you help with this problem?
