How did you install it? Single OS? Dual boot? Wubi?

What do you want to replace it with?

Have you taken any steps to remove it?

In your PM you said that you wanted to go back to 10.04

If you still have the 10.04 install disk run that. If you don't, you can get it from here: http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/ . It will wipe out any data you have accumulated under 12.04.

Be aware that support for the 10.04 Desktop will stop on 2013-04
