Not really, there are guides online but the only real way is to virtualize windows (requires license and install media) and install it there. Us the closed source virtualbox from the virtualbox website, the open source one does not have raw USB access.

Yes, sorry. Typo. You can easily install the closed source virtualbox with:

echo "deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian precise contrib" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/virtualbox.list > /dev/null

wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install virtualbox-4.1

Or that, eitherway, its a lot of headache for the device. Apple only support mac and windows and using anything else will cause you headaches. If you move away from apple to something more open minded, you'll find things easier.

I have for a long time been looking forward to purchase an Apple iMac 27" with a i7 multi-cored processor.

Now I am changing my mind having used Linux (Ubuntu) for nearly 3 years and reading Linux Format & PC Pro.

I would like to replace my Dell 2400 Dimension with more up to date (but not the latest, less cost) and if possible
use the same case which I believe is ATX. It has a new Corsair 550 Watt PSU Model No: TX550M which supports ATX12V 2.3 ESP12V 2.91 standards.

Where could can I get advice as to what I can upgrade. eg. Main Board, Processor, Graphic Card, Ram and I would like a new IPS panel Monitor.

Hope you can help.
