how to format/uninstall Ubuntu

Can anyone please tell me how i can wipe my laptop! All i want to do is format my laptop in order to install a new operating system. i have tried all the tricks to uninstall Ubuntu or install a new operating system via WINE but was not able to do so. i am strugling to Format my laptop (Lenovo G560). PLEASE HELP!

There is no trick. Insert and boot from a live medium, select install <distro>, partition manually, format /, done.

If still uncertain how to wipe the disk try dban.
