How to upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit Ubuntu 12.04?

Asked by SACHIN

Dear friends,

I have recently installed 32-bit Ubuntu 12.04 version on my laptop which is dual-boot with Windows 7. I have also found out that the laptop configuration is compatible with 64-bit Ubuntu as well as Windows 7. So I want to know how do I upgrade from installed 32-bit Ubuntu to 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 version without doing re-installation.

Thanks in advance.

To change architecture you will need to reinstall. Changing from 32bit to 64bit isn't an upgrade. There is no other way
