How long does the installation of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS last ?

I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and there is always the small circle telling that the installation is still going on. The only problem is that I started the installation about 10 hours ago ! What can I do now ?

No, it has locked up. Is this a clean install or an upgrade? It is very unlikely to work. I imagine you will need to reset the computer and re-boot from the live-DVD. Please take the 'Try Ubuntu' option to prove that 12.04 can work on your hardware.

I restarted my computer and it seems to work well (no more circle). My installation is coupled with W7...
