dell workstation doesn't boot of usb

My dell Precision workstation 670 wont when the usb drive with ubuntu server is in it, it says remove any remobable media and press any key to restart

looks like you burned the usb stick wrong so it cant boot..

Try http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/ and then click new syslinux in options (in the program).

Make sure it is set to boot from usb first
Also test whether the stick can be booted from another computer--sometimes the sticks dont work at all so you have to use another one. Ironically freebies/cheap sticks tend to work better than the more expensive ones i find
