Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?
If you used a CD, did you burn as slowly as possible?

How do I do the MD5 test, I need a way to do it without having to download anything. I am on a very slow connection with limited bandwith.

If you made the CD in Ubuntu then you have the app you need. If you are using windows then you will need a tiny app to do it:

Okay, so ran the MD5SUM test, and came up with the error, "MD5 Check Sums are different" now what? As stated before very limited bandwith and no real download capabilities,, (it took me 13 hours to download what I am trying to install now)

Then the file you downloaded is corrupted. You need to redownload the file.

I suggest you use torrents, it's faster and the protocol adds extra checking
