Partition mixup

hi,

i'm very new to ubuntu and just installed it on my macbook.

i seem to have made a mistake during the installation and assinged my osx partition as the swap area.

is it possible for me to recover this partition or has all the data on it been formated/erased?

my macbook does not offer me the option to choose what i'd like to boot up and goes straight to ubuntu.

what, if any, are my options to get back my osx partition and be able to boot up using it?

It may be recoverable using foremost. If the data space has been used, the precise bit of data will be lost. I suggest you use your backups.
