how to go back to ubuntu 11.04 from 11.10

hi,
my dad's desktop computer often shut down. in its good when hewas using 11.04.. how to trouble shoot.
will going back to 11.04 solves the problem. if yes how to go back to 11.04.
all the computer hard ware is good.
