"i am unable to boot from live us"

 Why?

 Have you changed the BIOS/Boot Order to boot from USB first, before the Hard Drive?

Does your computer support booting from USB? If so, have you looked at PloP Boot Manager? "PLOP BOOT MANAGER LETS YOU BOOT FROM AN USB EVEN IF THE BIOS DOESN'T SUPPORT IT" - http://www.webupd8.org/2010/02/plop-boot-manager-lets-you-boot-from.html

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?

@andrew
1e5a908835ea5dda0a84f491ac8ecb28 is the hash value after running the md5sum utility.

12e04b6893802d3b1935296bfbfe0910 is the value given for my iso download on MD5SUMS file at http://releases.ubuntu.com/precise/.

What should i do?
