VM Problems 12.04

Asked by Emerson Hsieh

I downloaded Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2 today and installed ubuntu in VM ware workstation 7.1.4.

Then I installed VM ware tools in the Ubuntu VM

While I was waiting VMWare tools to install, I glanced at the computer and it kept showing y's in the terminal forever!

I waited and waited. All it shows in the terminal are the y's.

So I tried closing the terminal window. It says that there is a process going on, but I quitted the terminal anyways.

After I rebooted the Ubuntu 12.04 VM, VMWare workstation says that I have VMWare tools installed, but there is no audio when I watched a YouTube video (I am sure that the video has sound in it)

Is it a bug?

You could have websearched YOURSELF and found out, rather than waiting 8 hours for me to fill you in....

You have an interface to the largest information database known to mankind (The Internet) and you didn't think to try and find guides based on what I said. This not only makes you more antonymous but will get you to your goal faster. You would have easily found this:

Thanks! Actually I searched Google for MD5 testing butI found nothing. And I downloaded the Alpha 2iso from a torrent so I think there is no problem with it. I will test it!

Ps I am still quite new to ubuntu but I loved It when I first used it
