Looks like it should work. download the desktop iso, use unetbootin on a Windows machine to create a bootable usb,
and try it out. You can then decide if you want to install it to a more permanent location, like a file within Windows using WUBI or onto a separate disk partition or even a separate disk (external usb etc.).
