Ubuntu Server Install (Kernel)

Asked by Cameron Warren

I am trying to install Ubuntu server on my Dell and i keep getting this message: "This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU,but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU" I already have desktop version installed.

What should i do?

Many thanks
