Installation problem

Hi everybody,
I've tried to install Ubuntu with the CD and "Wuby" but when try to do it I cannot see anything in the screen, and there is written in the midle of the screen "Out of Range" or something similar. My screen is 1280x1024 pixels, max. Any solution to this problem..

Add the boot option:

nomodeset

Can help. If you use an nvidia gpu then use:

nouveau.blacklist=1
