I installed Ubuntu OS but when I try to Logon as a power user system does not authenticate

Ubuntu (like Debian) doesn't allow you to logon as a super user (too dangerous)
If you want to gain power, you have to use the terminal (after you logon as a normal user) and begin the commands with "sudo"
Eg: sudo nautilus
